Business Support: Mentoring
The Mentor Programme is designed to enable Wicklow County Enterprise Board to provide small businesses with temporary business advisors, known as mentors, whose role may include to:
- Listen
- Advise and Counsel
- Help Identify Problems and Suggest Solutions
- Assist in Drawing Up an Action Plan
The panel of mentors is made up of mature experienced business people all of whom contribute considerable expertise to the Programme.
Areas of involvement generally include: business management, financial structuring, production planning, marketing, distribution and business planning.
How the Programme works:
Wicklow County Enterprise Board can offer a Mentor to a small business that either:
a) has received financial aid from the Board, or
b) would normally be eligible for financial aid (see 'Grants' section - 'Eligibility Criteria')
To discuss your eligibility/otherwise for mentoring services, contact the Enterprise Board.
Careful consideration is given to 'match' the requirements of the business and the specialised skill and experience of the perspective mentor.
Please note:
Under the terms of the programme, the mentor may not become actively involved in the day to day management or assume the role of an executive in the company.
